Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform as an organization or event organizer. By using TavernCentral, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization.

To create events and manage registrations, you must register an organization account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• Keep your password secure and confidential.
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at hello@taverncentral.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are found to contain inaccurate information.

When attendees register for your event, they provide personal data directly to TavernCentral on your behalf. You agree to:

• Use attendee data only for purposes related to the registered event.
• Not sell, share, or transfer attendee data to third parties without the attendees' consent.
• Handle attendee data in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and applicable privacy laws.
• Delete attendee data upon request or when it is no longer needed for the event.

Violation of these obligations may result in immediate account suspension and legal liability.

The TavernCentral name, logo, platform design, and underlying technology are owned by TavernCentral and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

TavernCentral's core platform is currently free to use for organization accounts and event creation. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or pricing tiers in the future, with appropriate notice to existing users.

For paid events (where enabled), payment processing is handled by Paystack. By using payment features, you also agree to Paystack's terms of service.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content posted by users.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TavernCentral shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Platform.
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or your personal information.
• Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Platform.
• Any events or actions of third parties on the Platform.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or NGN 10,000 if you have not paid us anything).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TavernCentral and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any claim by an attendee arising from your event.

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may close your account by contacting us at hello@taverncentral.com. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, without notice or liability.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
